The hardest part of making AI videos isn't generating the first result. It's knowing why it isn't good enough. We talk a lot about creative direction, clean visuals, cinematic shots, prompting and references. But one thing we don't talk about enough is critical thinking and problem solving. This is KAI, a character I created from scratch with GPT-2 image generation, then brought to life with Omni Flash in @FlowbyGoogle . This is just a small snippet from a much larger beard-grooming project I'm working on. And getting a shot like this isn't always: Prompt → Generate → Perfect. Sometimes the first result doesn't match the concept in your head. So you have to stop and diagnose it: What's actually wrong? Is it the character? The movement? The framing? The camera? The interaction? The emotion? Then you reprompt. Reiterate. Change the approach. Generate again. Sometimes you fix the prompt. Sometimes you realise the prompt isn't the problem, your direction is. That's the part of AI video creation I find really interesting. The tools can generate possibilities. Your job is to recognise the right one and solve your way there. Happy New Month 🤍 Grateful for another month to learn, create, refine and turn more ideas into reality. More intentional work. More building. More growth. Let's go, September. 🖤
