👇I found the one word that fixed my audio popping and jarring cuts between Seedance 2.5 clips. The word "beat" is your best friend when you're pacing a video. Type it into a prompt and the model gives you roughly a second of nothing. No dialogue, no action, just the shot continuing to breathe. I use it constantly. "Two beats before she speaks." "One beat he's finished speaking." "Hold for two beats on his face as he reacts..." Watch this clip 👀. There are "two beats" starting at at :04 where the bird does a lead-in shot to frame the location in an establishing shot to give more time for the audience to get a sense of scale from the location before dialogue becomes the focal point. The ending has two beats after his final line at :25. By itself it may look strange but....👇 Here's why it matters! If your dialogue runs right up to the last frame, the audio gets chopped off mid-breath and the next clip slams in on top of it. That's the pop everyone hears in AI video when the next video is placed flush against it; it's jarring and we see examples of it on X all the time. Give yourself slack with the end of each clip, we put "One beat after..." at the end of each final shot in our prompts to get that silence to utilize a J-cut(will explain in a future tweet!). Those two beats at the end give me a little bitof clean room tone. I can fade the next clip's audio in underneath it while you're still watching this one, so the transition never announces itself. Same thing at the top. A "beat" before anyone speaks gives the incoming audio 'negative space' to fill. Most people fill all 30 seconds with dialogue because they're paying per clip and want their money's worth, fine for a one-shot but not so good for film or anything with more then a few clips; only exception is if you're using your seedance 2.5 clips as video references and directly continuing them. Silence is the part you edit with, friends!

Characters talk on an ancient-looking ship, then a vast terraced quarry with workers appears.
