𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄. 𝗛𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝘁. Six days before this relay, Bailey had run 𝟵.𝟴𝟴 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 in the Olympic 100m final. That is 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱-𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱. Keep that in mind when you watch the man in red. London, 2012. Jamaica and the USA are still close at the final exchange. Yohan Blake hands over to Bolt. Then the gap opens. What makes this finish extraordinary is knowing how good the man beside him already was.

Captioned broadcast footage of Bolt's London 2012 relay anchor leg, with Usain Bolt pulling away from Tyson Gay.
