Several months ago, I worked with @nurastudios on a project that was a little different from my usual filmmaking work. Together, we created six short protest songs as part of an album called ConTROLL, exploring some of the different forces that shape and influence society. Each track looked at a different subject, using music as a way to question power, behaviour, technology, culture and the systems we live within. I have always loved the idea of using creativity to say something, whether that is through film, music or storytelling, so this project gave me the chance to experiment with all three. ConTROLL was about making work that was entertaining, but also made people stop and think about the world around them. I’ll be sharing more from the project soon. This first piece is called Stay Woke #nurastudios. #showcraft #seedance2
