🎃 Spooky season throwback...this one's from last Oct. 🎨Back then I was blending AI-generated scenes with my own likeness to create digital hybrid self-portraiture. I was convinced I'd coined the term "hybrid artist" and invented the art genre. I'd never heard anyone else say either one, and I even asked AI, which couldn't find them anywhere. So OBVIOUSLY, I was first. (Source: Grok. Confidence: unearned.) 🙃 📸 It's my face in every, scene. The prompts were all me. No stock ghosts were harmed in the making of this AI art. 🧰 Back then I said "mostly free and open source tools." But with recent developments and fast moving ai updates, that looks different now too... 🌟There's been a "glow-up". I've moved to local AI generation with open-weight models running on my own PC. (Open weight, not open source. Not the same thing, nerds, I know.) Still proof you don't need $$$ to make AI video and AI art. I've moved on from the self-portraits, but the haunting continues. 👻 What are you creating this Halloween?
